RTE Tamilnadu Admission 2020-21 online application form are going to be invited by the Department of School Education in Tamil Nadu. The start date of registration for TN RTE Admissions at tnschools.gov.in or www.dge.tn.gov.in is 27 August 2020. The last date to apply online for LKG / Class 1 admissions under RTE is 25 September 2020. Under RTE Act 2009, all the students belonging to weaker sections will get 25% reservation in all govt. / private schools in the state. The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is a flagship programme for the achievement of Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) in a timely manner.
 
SSA as mandated by the 86th amendment to the Constitution of India making free and compulsory education to children of 6 to 14 years age group, a fundamental right. Accordingly, Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) in Tamil Nadu will invite RTE Tamilnadu Admission Online Application Form 2020-21. RTE Act is applicable for all states to provide free and compulsory education to the children of poor families. 
All the interested candidates can fill up the RTE Admission 2020 Tamil Nadu online application form at official website. The official website of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan is ssa.tn.nic.in. Candidates can also check 25% Reservation Intake Capacity (District and School Wise Details). As per the Tamilnadu RTE Rules, every school must update the details of number of seats available on the website.

RTE Tamilnadu Admission Online Application Form 2020 - How to Apply

Here is the complete process on how to fill RTE Tamilnadu Admission 2020-21 online application form:-
  • Firstly applicants will have to visit the official website for Tamilnadu RTE Admission 2020-21 which can be accessed through the link at dge.tn.gov.in
  • At the homepage, click the "RTE Act, 2009 - 25% Reservation 2020-21 Online Registration" link.
  • A new window will open where applicants can click at the "Application" link to fill the RTE Tamilnadu 2020-21 Online Application Form. (Application Lines are going to be open on 27 August 2020).
  • The RTE Tamilnadu Admission 2020-21 Online Application Form will appear as shown below:-
  • Accordingly candidates can even click at the "Download" tab to check the RTE Tamil Nadu 2020-21 Admission apply online format:-
  • It is the RTE TN Admissions 2020 online application form format. Subsequently in the apply online format, candidates can fill up all the details accurately and submit it online.
  • Moreover, applicants must keep a printout of the completely filled in and submitted rte tamilnadu 2020-21 application form with them for any future reference.
It is advised to the students to firstly go through the RTE Admission 2020 TN guidelines before started filling online application form. Dept. of School Education in Tamilnadu will give preference to the children residing within 1 km radius of the school for RTE Tamil Nadu 2020-2021 admission.

Important Dates for RTE Tamil Nadu Admission 2020-2021

Below are the important dates which must be looked upon to fill RTE Tamil Nadu Admission 2020-2021:-
A) 17 August 2020 - Schools to prepare details on the intake capacity of entry level classes and separate register for 25% intake.
B) 25 August 2020 - 25% intake seats to be displayed on notice board and website.
C) 27 August 2020 - Online Application for RTE quota of seats begins.
D) 25 September 2020 - Last Date for RTE TN Admissions for current academic year.
E) 30 September 2020 - Names of eligible applicants and ineligible applicants with reasons for rejection to be on display.
F) 1 October 2020 - Random selection (if applications exceed available seats).
G) 3 October 2020 - Names of selected applicants with application numbers to be displayed on school notice boards and websites.
As per the RTE Act, around 25% seats must be reserved in private schools (non-minority schools) for children from economically and socially disadvantaged groups. There are over 1 lakh seats available in around 9,000 schools across the state. But it is still not clarified whether RTE Admissions are available to CBSE schools in the state.

Eligibility Criteria for TN RTE Admissions 2020 - Who can Apply

Here is the complete eligibility criteria to apply online for RTE TN Admissions 2020:-
-- Those falling under economically weaker sections. 
-- The annual income of the family of the applicant from all sources must not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.
-- All socially disadvantaged communities except OCs.
-- Disabled children, wards of scavengers and HIV infected among others would be given preference.

List of Documents for LKG / Class 1 Admission under TN RTE Act

As per the new system introduced in 2019, private schools were tagged on GIS maps. Once parents register their address, schools located within a 1.5km radius from their residence will show up on the screen. A parent can select a maximum of five schools. Parents have to upload their ward's documents whose list is given below:-
  1. Recent photo
  2. Birth certificate
  3. Aadhar card or ration card of the parent / guardian
  4. Income certificate for weaker section candidates or community certificate for disadvantaged group. Disability Certificate (if any)
  5. Certificate to prove wards of scavengers (if applicable) 
  6. Children of HIV infected parents (if applicable)
These certificates must be upload for RTE Tamil Nadu Admission 2020-21. Parents can visit district-level educational offices for filling up online applications.
