Right-wing users are sharing the video claiming that Muslims attacked three Hindus with an axe in the Kaliganj subdistrict of Gazipur in Bangladesh. Right-wing account 'Hindu Voice' shared this video and wrote that Islamic fundamentalists attacked three Hindus with an axe in Kaliganj, Bangladesh. At the time of writing, this video had received more than 32,000 views. (Archived version) X user 'AngrySaffron' also posted this video with a similar claim. Fact Check Alt News performed a keyword search using Bengali keywords related to the video, which led us to a March 31, 2025 report in the Bangladeshi newspaper Desh Rupantor. The report states that a man attacked his cousin with an axe due to a land dispute in Chandaiya village in Ward 6 of Kaliganj. According to the report, on March 30, 2025, Ramcharan and his son Jhantu Das attacked Narayan, his wife Giribala and his brother Haradhan Chandra Das with an axe. Four people were reportedly injured in the feud. We also came across a Facebook post by the Bangladesh Police on the incident, in which the names of the accused and the victims were the same as in the above news article .
