At the 20:33 mark of the ANI livestream, Nadda lifts a large copy of the Constitution to display it to the House. While doing so, he fumbles with it briefly and appears to place it under the table, at which point the camera shifts to Rajya Sabha chairperson and vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar. After the clip went viral on social media, several users defended Nadda by sharing a full video of the sequence of events. In this footage, Nadda is seen adjusting the large-sized Constitution under the table, placing it on the table, and then lifting it again to display it to the House. While it is not possible to ascertain whether the copy of the Constitution had slipped from Nadda's hand or he had deliberately placed it below the table, it is indeed clear that he immediately picked it up or stopped before placing it on the floor and eventually kept it on his desk. Several Congress leaders and Congress-linked pages shared a clipped video with misleading claims.
