Through this eshram card, each of the registered unorganized sector worker can avail the social security scheme benefits as well as employment scheme benefits. Read this article till the end to check e shram card benefits. Social Security Scheme Benefits for eshram Card Holders Following social security scheme benefits can be availed by unorganised workers using e shram card:- Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-Dhan Pension Yojana Voluntary and contributory pension scheme. Monthly contribution ranges from Rs. 55 to Rs. 200 depending upon the entry age of the beneficiary. 50% monthly contribution is payable by the beneficiary and equal matching contribution for PMSYM social security scheme is paid by the Central Government. PM-SYM Eligibility Criteria Should be an Indian Citizen Unorganised Workers ( for example: working as street vendors, agricluture labourers, construction site workers, workers in industries of leather, handloom, mid-day meal workers, rickshaw pullers or auto wheelers, rag pickers, carpenters, fisherman's etc.) Age group of 18-40 years Monthly income is below Rs.15000 and not a member of EPFO/ESIC/NPS (Govt. funded). PM SYM Benefits After attaining the age of 60 yrs, beneficiaries are entitled to receive minimum monthly assured pension of Rs.3000/-. On death of the beneficiary, spouse is eligible for 50% monthly pension. If husband and wife, both join the scheme, they are eligible for Rs. 6000/- monthly pension jointly. National Pension Scheme for Shopkeepers, Traders and the Self-employed Persons Voluntary and contributory pension schemes Monthly contribution ranges from Rs.55 to Rs.200 depending upon the entry age of the beneficiary. 50% monthly contribution is payable by the beneficiary and equal matching contribution is paid by the Central Government for NPS social security scheme. Atal Pension Yojana APY Eligibility Should be an Indian citizen Between the age of 18-40 years Having bank account linked with Aadhaar APY Benefits The contributor on his choice, can attain a pension of 1000-5000 rupees, or he can also get an accumulated sum of the pension after his death. The accumulated amount will be given to the spouse or if the spouse is dead as well then to the nominee. Public Distribution System (PDS) PDS Eligibility Should be an Indian citizen All families below the poverty line. Any family which does not have a member between ages 15 and 59 years of age. Any family which has a disabled member is also eligible to avail of benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Gramin Yojana Those who do not have a permanent job and only engage in casual labour. PDS Benefits 35 kg of rice or wheat every month, while a household above the poverty line is entitled to 15 kg of food grain on a monthly basis. Being implemented as One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC)to enable migrant workers to receive the food grains wherever they are working. Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) PMAY-G Eligibility Should be an Indian citizen Any family including workers, which does not have a member between ages 15 and 59 years of age. Any family which has a differently abled member is also eligible to avail benefits under Pradhan Mantri Awas Gramin Yojana Those who do not have a permanent job and only engage in casual labour. PMAYG Benefits Assistance provided to the beneficiary to the tune of Rs. 1.2 Lakh in plain areas and Rs. 1.3 Lakh in Hilly Areas. National Social Assistance Programme  NSAP Eligibility Should be an Indian citizen Any person who has little or no regular means of subsistence from his/her own source of income or through financial support from family members or other sources. Old Age Protection Benefits Central Contribution @ Rs 300 to Rs 500 for different age group. Monthly pension ranges from Rs 1000 to Rs 3000/ depending upon State Government's contribution. Health Insurance Scheme for Weavers HIS Eligibility Should be an Indian Citizen The weaver should be earning at least 50% of his income from handloom weaving All weavers, whether male or female, are eligible to be covered under the "Health Insurance Scheme" HIS Benefits The beneficiaries of HIS scheme would avail a package of Rs 15,000 that includes both pre-existing diseases and new diseases. The division in terms of disbursement of the amount according to the medical conditions stands as:-  Maternity benefit (per child for the first two) - Rs. 2500,  Eye treatment - Rs. 75,  Spectacles - Rs. 250,  Domiciliary Hospitalisation - Rs. 4000,  Ayurvedic / Unnani / Homeopathic / Siddha - Rs 4000,  Hospitalization (including pre and post) - Rs 15000,  Baby coverage - 500,  OPD and limit per illness - Rs 7500. National Safai Karamcharis Finance and Development Corporation NSKFDC Eligibility Should be an Indian Citizen People involved as Safai karmacharis and manual scavengers NSKFDC Benefits Scheme provides financial assistance to the Safai Karamcharis, Manual Scavengers and their dependants through SCAs/RRBs/Nationalized Banks for any viable income generating scheme including sanitation related activities and for education in India and Abroad. Self Employment Scheme for Rehabilitation of Manual Scavengers (Revised) Eligibility Should be an Indian Citizen Identified manual scavengers, one from each family, eligible for One Time Cash Assistance (OTCA) of Rs. 40,000/- or any such amount as OTCA as revised from time to time. Benefits The manual scavenger and the dependents shall be provided, free of cost, skill training of their choice from the list of such trainings organized by the National Safai Karmacharis Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC) from time to time . A monthly stipend of Rs. 3000/-(Rupees three thousand only) or any such amount as may be decided from time to time shall be remitted by NSKFDC. Deen Dayal Upadhyay - Gramin Kaushalya Yojana DDU-GKY Eligibility Should be an Indian Citizen Between the ages of 15 and 35 years, are eligible for the training programs. Accordingly, Ministry of Labour & Employment has developed eSHRAM portal for creating a National Database of Unorganized Workers (NDUW), which will be seeded with Aadhaar. It will have details of name, occupation, address, occupation type, educational qualification, skill types and family details etc. for optimum realization of their employability and extend the benefits of the social security schemes to them. It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers, etc. Objectives of eSHRAM Portal Creation of a centralized database of all unorganized workers (UWs) including Construction Workers, Migrant Workers, Gig and Platform workers, Street Vendors, Domestic Workers, Agriculture Workers, etc., to be seeded with Aadhaar. To improve the implementation efficiency of the social security services for the unorganized workers. Integration of Social Security Schemes meant for UWs being administered by MoLE and subsequently those run by other ministries as well. Providing a comprehensive database to Central and State Governments for tackling any National Crises like COVID-19 in future. Who can register in eShram (NDUW) Portal? Any individual satisfying following condition can register on the portal:- An unorganised worker (UW) i.e Any worker who is a home based-worker, self-employed worker or a wage worker in the unorganised sector including a worker in the organised sector who is not a member of ESIC or EPFO or not a Govt. employee is called an Unorganised Worker. Age should be between 16-59 years. Not a member of EPFO/ESIC or NPS (Govt. funded). What is required for e Shram registration? Following is required to register on the eshram portal:- Aadhar Number Mobile number linked with Aadhaar. Savings Bank Account number with IFSC code Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)  Q1. Who are unorganized workers? Any worker who is a home-based worker, self-employed worker or a wage worker working in the unorganized sector and not a member of ESIC or EPFO, is called an unorganized worker. Q2. What is unorganized sector? Unorganized sector comprises of establishment/ units which are engaged in the production/ sale of goods/ services and employs less than 10 workers. These units are not covered under ESIC & EPFO. Q3. What is UAN? Universal Account Number is a 12 digits number uniquely assigned to each unorganized worker after registration on eSHRAM portal. UAN number will be a permanent number i.e. once assigned, it will remain unchanged for the worker's lifetime. Q4. I am unable to connect to the helpdesk number - 14434. What should I do? In case you are unable to contact short code helpdesk number 14434, you may also try the 10-digit number as provided by the CSC Q5. Are there any income criteria? There are no income criteria for registering on eSHRAM as unorganized worker. However, he/she should not be an income tax payee. Q6. Are there any eligibility criteria to register in eSHRAM? Any worker who is unorganized and aged between 16-59, is eligible to register on the eSHRAM portal. Q7. What essential documents are required by the worker to register on eSHRAM? Following is required by the worker to register on the eSHRAM portal– Aadhaar Number Mobile number, Aadhaar linked Bank account Note – If a worker does not have Aadhaar linked mobile number, he/ she can visit nearest CSC's and register through Biometric authentication. Q8. What is the benefit an unorganized worker will get when he/she registers on eSHRAM portal? Central Government has developed eSHRAM portal which will be a centralized database of unorganized workers seeded with Aadhaar. After registering, he/she will get an Accidental Insurance cover of 2 Lacs under PMSBY. In future, all the social security benefits of unorganized workers will be delivered through this portal. In emergency and national pandemic like situations, this database may be utilized to provide necessary assistance to the eligible unorganized workers. Q9. How unorganized worker can get register on eSHRAM portal? An Unorganized worker may register himself/herself through visiting on eSHRAM portal or through assisted approach by visiting nearest CSC's. Q10. Is there any charge the worker must pay for the registration in eSHRAM? Registration on eSHRAM portal is free. Workers are not required to pay any charges to any registering entity. Q11.Will there be any deduction from worker's bank account after registration? No. Bank details are being captured to ensure hassle free delivery of benefits under social security schemes or any benefits by the Central/State government directly to the worker's account. Q12.Does the eSHRAM card have validity period? This is a permanent number and valid for lifetime Q13. Does the worker have to renew the UAN card? There is no need to renew the eSHRAM card to the workers to regularly update their details, mobile number, current address etc. In order to keep his account active, he/she is required to update his account at least once in a year. Q14. How workers can update their details in eSHRAM? Workers can update their details through visiting on eSHRAM portal or through CSC's Q15. What are the details workers can update in eSHRAM? Once registered, a worker may update his particular details such as mobile number, current address, occupation, educational qualification, skill types, family details etc. through visiting on eSHRAM portals or nearest CSC's. Q16. What is NCO? It is National Classification of Occupation prepared on the basis of work and skill levels required to execute the work. It is an international practice and uniform across the country. It helps in comparing, classifying, sorting occupations and skill levels. Q17. Select the matching occupation which worker is currently doing? At the time of registration worker's need to select occupation. It will be based on two level selection – At first level worker needs to select Sector (Agriculture, Automobiles, Construction, etc.), which is broad based category of activities. At second level worker is required to select his activity in the form of occupation which worker is currently doing. The activity which is source of his major income is primary activity/occupation. Any other activity which is a minor but significant source of income is called secondary occupation. Q18. How occupation is different from skill? A skill is a learned or natural ability to accomplish a particular task whereas an occupation is a person's usual or principal work or business, especially as a means of earning a living. Q19. How my details will be used by the Labour ministry? It is a centralized database seeded with Aadhaar. It will be used for delivery of social security benefits as implemented by Central & State Ministries. It will also ensure portability of the social security and welfare benefits to the migrant and construction workers at their working places. It may also be used for providing assistance to the eligible workers during any National crisis like COVID-19 in future. Q20. What is PM Suraksha Bima Yojana? Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana is an Accidental Insurance scheme of Government of India eligible to the people between 18- 70 years of age group. It provides benefit of Rs. 2 Lacs at the time of accidental death and permanent disability & Rs. 1 Lac in case of partial disability. Q21.How PMSBY is associated with eSHRAM? They may also contact their concerned banks. Q25. Whether I must give proof of my date of birth and income ? At present there is no need to provide any proof of date of birth and income. Q26. Where do I go to solve my grievance? You may call on national helpdesk and register your grievance or register your grievance on eSHRAM Grievance portal (gms.eshram.gov.in) Q27. Are there any educational qualifications prescribed for registering as an unorganized worker? No. He/she should only be required to be employed in the gainful employment in the unorganized sector. Q28. What are the documents that are to be submitted at the enrollment centre? Worker are not required any document at the CSC's. They are required to carry their Aadhaar number, Mobile number and bank account details along with IFSC code to register for registration along with Bank Account Details. Q29. What action is required to be taken by the worker, after attaining the age of 60 years? Worker do not need to take any action after attaining the age of 60. He/ she will continue to get benefits under eSHRAM project, he/she is entitled for. Q30. Who will operate the help line/ grievance redressal mechanism? National help desk/grievance redressal mechanism will be managed by Ministry of Labour & Employment and State call center's/helpdesk will be managed by States. Q31. Is the SMS language in regional language(s) of the State or in English/Hindi only? Initially it will be in Hindi and English. Later, it will be provided in regional languages as well. Q32. Is there any interactive map for finding the nearest location of the registration Centre? Yes. During the registration, photo is pulled from Aadhaar services therefore provision to update photo is not available. A person's usual or principal work or business, especially as a means of earning a living is called occupation. Q35. What is primary occupation? The activity which is source of his major income is primary activity/occupation. Q36. What is secondary occupation? Any other activity which is a minor but significant source of income is called secondary activity/ occupation. Q37. I have lost my registered mobile number. How can I update my mobile number? or register any other mobile number on eSHRAM portal? You can directly call the helpdesk number and after verifying your credentials, your mobile number on the eSHRAM portal will be updated. Alternatively, you can visit eSHRAM portal or nearest CSC/ SSK's to update mobile number. Q38. Are farmers eligible to register on eSHRAM portal? Only agriculture labour's and landless farmers are eligible for registration in the eSHRAM portal. Other farmers are not eligible. Q39. I am 16 years old. Can I register in eSHRAM portal? Yes, you are eligible provided you satisfy other registration criteria Q40. I am 16 years old. Whether I am eligible for PMSBY if registered on eSHRAM? No, the person should be between 18 – 59 years to be eligible for PMSBY through eSHRAM registration. Q41. Whether this data will get verified from EPFO, ESIC or tax department? If yes, whether at the time of registration or after the data is collected? Yes, the data will be validated periodically by ESIC, EPFO and income tax departments. Q42. Once registered, a worker may update his details such as mobile number, current address, occupation, educational qualification, skill types, family details etc. through visiting on eSHRAM portals or nearest CSC's. Q43. What is working time of eSHRAM website as some time portal is not working? You can register on eSHRAM portal 24x7 Q44. What is last date of eSHRAM Registration? There is no last date for registration. For the convenience, registration on eSHRAM portal is allowed 24x7. Q45. Are there any financial/monetary/ cash benefits after registration on eSHRAM portal? Right now, only registration is being done through eSHRAM. The registered workers will be provided accidental insurance cover of Rs. 2 lacs for a year. This data may be utilized to provide financial assistance to the eligible workers during national crisis – COVID19 like situation. Q46. What is PM Suraksha Bima Yojana? How will premium for the PMSBY for the first year be deducted from beneficiaries Bank? It is free of cost to the workers for the first year. Hence, no premium will be deducted from the beneficiary's account. Q50. Is the second-year premium for the PMSBY will be paid by the beneficiary? Yes. In lieu of Rs.12 per year, workers will get coverage for Rs.2 lakh for accidental death/ permanent disability and Rs. 1 lakh for partial disability. Q51. Who pays the premium for PMSBY for the second year? The beneficiary who wishes to continue beyond the first year will provide their consent to continue the scheme and allow auto-debit before each successive insurance cycle year. i.e. 1 Jun to May 31st for every successive year. Q52. What procedure needs to be followed in case of the death of the worker? Claimant should file a claim along with relevant documents on the eSHRAM portal/ nearest CSCs. Q53. Can individuals who leave the scheme rejoin? The insurance cycle works from 1st June to 31st May of the calendar year.
