Telecom Minister, Central government on 14 May 2022 launched GatiShakti Sanchar portal at sugamsanchar.gov.in. It will centralise and speed up approvals for laying of fibre and tower installations and will boost upcoming 5G roll out. A legal backing for the Right of Way (RoW) will be in place by December. 

The GatiShakti Sanchar portal will facilitate centralised Right of Way (RoW) approvals. An online platform for the industry to apply for RoW approvals as they build telecom infrastructure, including for 5G services, the GatiShakti Sanchar portal offers a unified, integrated, centralised approach covering all states and UTs, and central government ministries.

About Gatishakti Sanchar Portal (sugamsanchar.gov.in)

GatiShakti Sanchar Portal is a collaborative institutional mechanism between all stakeholders including Central and State/UT Government(s), Local bodies, and Service Providers to facilitate the Right of Way (RoW) Application Process through a single interface.

This portal envisages bringing transparency, accountability and responsiveness to all stakeholders while processing the application. This has further been taking a giant leapfrogging towards "Ease of Doing Business" as the application process for installation of Digital Infrastructure is being delayed due to inconsistency and uncertainty of policy and process and it requires maintaining a fast-tracking application process to overcome the challenges of implementation of Right of Way Rules-2016. 

This would provide a robust mechanism to achieve our goal of "Broadband to All" as envisaged in the National Digital Communication Policy-2018.

Features of Gatishakti Sanchar Portal

  • GatiShakti Sanchar Portal will enable applicants from Telecom Services Providers (TSPs), Infrastructure Providers (IPs), Internet Services Providers (ISPs) etc. to apply for RoW approvals for laying Optical Fiber Cables (OFC) and erecting Telecom infrastructures like Towers etc. to submit their applications to various agencies of State/UT Governments and local bodies.
  • To assist users, it has a dedicated 8x6 (Monday to Saturday) customer services call centre (from 10 AM – 6 PM), which supports RoW applicants and other stakeholders through a number (0755-2700802) and email (support@sugamsanchar.gov.in)
  • Shortly, the GatiShakti Sanchar Portal will be integrated with Central ROW Portals of central Ministries/departments like M/o Defence; M/o Environment Forests and Climate Change; M/o Road Transport and Highways; M/o Railways; M/o Petroleum and Natural Gas; M/o Housing and Urban Affairs; Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways; M/o Civil Aviation; Department of posts.
  • For effective monitoring the dashboard of the portal gives pendency status – overall, State wise and district wise.

About Khelo India Youth Games 2022 

As we have mentioned that 4th Khelo India Youth Games online registration form filling process has been started at nsrs.kheloindia.gov.in. Hosting of 4th edition of KIYG

Haryana state will host Khelo India Youth Games (KIYG) 4th edition. CM Manohar Lal Khattar on 26 April 2022 mentioned that fourth edition of KIYG was scheduled to take place in the year 2021 but it got postponed multiple times due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). Now as the situation of COVID-19 is far better, KIYG will be organized from 4 June 2022 to 13 June 2022. The Games will be held in Shahbad, Ambala, Chandigarh and Delhi apart from Panchkula. Game wise dates would be announced soon once the KIYG schedule is finalized.

As per the KIYG latest announcement, 4th edition of Khelo India Youth Games which was earlier scheduled to be held in the year 2021 will now be organized from 4 June 2022 to 13 June 2022. It is expected that by the time India will host KIYG Games, the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak will abate and Haryana govt. expects to host the KIYG at the same scale as the previous ones. In KIYG 2022, it is expected that more than 8,500 atheletes will participate.

Khelo India Youth Games 2022 Venue

Haryana state has done well in all three earlier editions of Khelo India Youth Games. While Haryana came second in both KIYG 2019 (159 medals in 2019) and KIYG 2020 editions (200 medals in 2020), Haryana won it in 2018 with 102 podium finishes (38 gold, 26 silver, 38 bronze). The Haryana state has always promoted sports in a big way and supported its athletes. The chosen venue for Khelo India Youth Games 2022 is Haryana state which is equipped with the best sporting infrastructure to host a multi-sport event like KIYG.

Now the Haryana state will host Khelo India Youth Games 4th edition which will only add greater impetus to govt's commitment towards creating a strong sporting ecosystem. CM Manohar Lal Khattar mentioned that state has done very well in the last few editions of Khelo India Youth Games and many of our athletes are already training under the Khelo India Scheme.

Haryana has enough lodging facilities for the large number of participants who are expected to attend the Khelo India Youth Games 2021-22 going to be organized b/w 4th June to 13 June 2022. Haryana has produced many elite athletes, such as wrestlers namely Yogeshwar Dutt, Bajrang Punia, Sakshi Malik, and Vinesh Phogat. Also, several para-athletes such as Deepa Malik, athlete Neeraj Chopra, boxer Amit Panghal and shooters Sanjeev Rajput, Manu Bhaker, Anish Bhanwala also belong to Haryana state. These athletes have represented and won medals for India at international platforms.

Haryana already has a very strong sporting culture and has given the country some of its best athletes. With the Khelo India Youth Games being hosted in the state, more and more aspiring athletes from Haryana will be motivated to take up competitive sport.

As per the new system introduced in 2022, private schools are tagged on GIS maps. Once parents register their address, schools located within a 1 km radius from their residence will show up on the screen. A parent can select a maximum of five schools. Parents have to upload their ward's documents whose list is given below:-
  1. Recent photo
  2. Birth certificate
  3. Aadhar card or ration card of the parent / guardian
  4. Income certificate for weaker section candidates or community certificate for disadvantaged group. Disability Certificate (if any)

IAY / PMAY-G Beneficiary List 2022-23 | SECC Family Member Details at pmayg.nic.in

The official beneficiary list of Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) or Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin of central govt. is now available at pmayg.nic.in. All the rural applicants who have previously applied online for PMAY Grameen housing scheme can check their name in IAY / PMAY-G Beneficiary List 2022-23.
The applicants who had filled the PMAY-G housing scheme application form and their name is not present in the list, they do not have to worry. These eligible candidates can find their SECC Family Member Details @ pmayg.nic.in. To avail the benefits of PM Awas Yojana Gramin, there is different eligibility criteria for urban and rural applicants. Vision / Objective of Karnataka Free Laptop Yojana

Karnataka Free Laptop Distribution Scheme 2022 aims to promote digital learning among students. The state govt. will focus on encouraging students to pursue technical / higher education who are not able to do so due to financial crisis. Karnataka govt. is going to encourage meritorious students who excelled in their 12th class board exams.

Salient Features of Free Laptop Scheme in Karnataka

In Karnataka Free Laptop Scheme, govt. will provide incentives to all students. Students who are pursuing professional courses from reputable colleges and polytechnic institutes will be able to get free laptops benefit. Around 1.50 lakh state students who belong to ST and SC categories would be benefited from the Karnataka Free Laptop Scheme. This scheme will help students belonging to ST/SC category. Laptops of around Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 35,000 will be provided to the students. The state govt. is also considering to give direct cash benefits to students to enable them to purchase laptops of their own choice. As of now, it is just a proposal till date which is not being finalized. As soon as the cabinet approves it or any other notification in this regard comes, we will update it here.

Central government has launched Janmanrega mobile application for MGNREGA workers. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) has inherent provisions for proactive disclosure of information to its citizens in reference to implementation of the MGNREGS. People can now download Janmanrega app from google play store for android smartphone users. All the labourers can also make MGNREGA Workers Registration online by filling apply form at this app.
Citizen awareness is a key to efficient, effective and transparent execution of the scheme, while the programme rests on participation principles. Paradigm shift from an employment-oriented to a sustainable and productive livelihood support programme warrants greater public engagement. MGNREGA Workers Registration at Janmanrega App for Android Smartphone Users

All the MGNREGA workers can now make user registration & logging-in at Janmanrega app, search for assets, search for nearby assets on the basis of user's current location, provide feedback on asset. Here is the process to make User Registration at Janmanrega App for android smartphone users:-
  • After successfully downloading the Janmanrega app on mobile phones, open the app.
  • Then click at the "Login" tab on the left side of the page and click at the "Register" button.
  • Afterwards, the Janmanrega App User Registration Form will appear as shown below:-
  • Here applicants can enter their mobile number, name, address, state, district, block, pin code, user type, designation, e-mail ID and OTP.
  • Then MGNREGA workers will get 6 digit OTP on registered mobile number, validate the OTP.
  • Finally, fill in answer to secret questions specifying a 4 digit Personal Identification Number (PIN).

Background of Janmanrega Mobile Application (Launch Date) 

The Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) launched "Janmanrega" - a Citizen-centric Mobile Application (CCMA). This was launched by Hon'ble Minister of Rural Development on 19th of June 2017. Janmanrega has been developed with collaboration between the MoRD, National Informatics Centre (NIC) and National Remote Sensing Centre (NRSC, Hyderabad). 

Beta Version of this Android Application is now available at Ministry's MGNREGA Website. This Janmanrega app will allow locating already geotagged more than 1.78 crore Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme's (MGNREGS) assets. All the identified assets are within Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Bhuvan Map Interface along with their attributes and two photographs using an Android mobile phone. Citizens will also be able to provide feedback about assets that have been created under the programme.

UP Cow Ambulance Scheme 2022 for Treatment of Seriously Ill Cows | Call Center for Receiving Complaints

UP Cow Ambulance Scheme 2022 will be started by Uttar Pradesh government. Chief minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath has proposed to start cow ambulance service which is first-of-its-kind initiative in the country. A call centre will be set up at Lucknow for receiving complaints, under the scheme which will begin by December 2022, the minister said.

What is UP Cow Ambulance Scheme 2022

The Uttar Pradesh government is all set to start UP Cow Ambulance Scheme 2022. This ambulance service will provide treatment to seriously ill cows as mentioned by the state dairy development, animal husbandry and fisheries minister Laxmi Narayan Chaudhary.

Similar to the 112 emergency service number, the new cow ambulance service would pave the way for the speedy treatment of seriously ill cows. The state govt. has 515 ambulances which are ready for the novel UP Cow Ambulance Scheme, probably the first such initiative in the country. An ambulance will come with a veterinary doctor and two assistants. These ambulances would arrive within 15 to 20 minutes of requesting the cow ambulance service.

Call Centre for Receiving Complaints

A call centre will be set up at Lucknow for receiving complaints, under the UP Cow Ambulance Scheme which will begin by December. The state's breed improvement programme will get a boost with the provision of free high-quality semen and embryo transplant technology. 
The technology will virtually be a revolution in the state as it would convert even sterile cows into high milk yielding animals. UP Cow Ambulance scheme would start as a pilot project in eight districts of the state, including Mathura.
