Fact Check To verify the authenticity of the claims surrounding the viral clip, first, we broke down the video into keyframes. Running a reverse image search on one such keyframe led us to this video, uploaded on Facebook, on April 23, 2025.   The caption, which is in Arabic, says: "A massive fire broke out at the 'Al-Boushi' gas station in the city of Al-Bab, east of Aleppo." Taking cue from this, we ran a relevant keyword search, and came across this news report, posted Alfajr Newspaper, which talks about the same incident. It reports that a gas explosion in the city of Al-Bab in northern Syria left at least 28 people injuries. It took the authorities more than three hours to bring the flames under control, after it had spread to adjacent buildings. To conclude, footage from a gas explosion in Syria in April 2025 has gone viral on social media with users incorrectly claiming that it shows an Israeli city being bombed by Irani missile clusters amid the ongoing West Asia conflict.
