Telangana Rythu Bandhu Amount Release Date Telangana Rythu Bandhu scheme has been started as a major step towards farmers empowerment. It is the first ever farmer investment support scheme in India. Rythu Bandhu scheme or Farmers Investment Support Scheme (FISS) is a welfare program to support farmer's investment for two crops a year by the Government of Telangana. TS government headed by CM KCR is providing 60 lakh farmers, Rs. 5000 per acre per season to support the farm investment, twice a year, for rabi (Yasangi) and kharif (Rainy) seasons. This is a first direct farmer investment support scheme in India, where the cash is paid directly. This scheme will help the farmers sell more and make them financially stable as well. In order to avail this scheme, the farmers must be a resident of Telangana state and must own the land. The scheme is applicable for small and marginal farmers. Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao announced that a sum of Rs. 5,000 per acre under the Rythu Bandhu scheme for Rabi season would be credited in the bank accounts of farmers from 28 December 2021. Need to Stop Cheque Distribution of Rythu Bandhu Scheme In the high level meeting chaired by CM KCR, the officials explained the difficulty faced by the machinery at ground level in distribution of cheques to farmers. Moreover, there is a difficulty in the laborious process involved in the preparation and disbursement of cheques from the state head quarter to the village level. Instructions are given to the Agriculture department to disburse the scheme benefit to the farmers accounts directly through online without any publicity. New Pattadar Passbook along with Cheque to Telangana Farmers Along with the cheque, the Telangana government is also giving the new Pattadar Passbook to farmers. It is the title deed offered to farmers which are authenticated after an exercise to purify the land records was done by the government. The new passbook is highly secure with 17 tamper-proof security features, and a land bank website, Dharani, to have all land holdings in the state. Pattadar Passbook is a historical land cleansing drive in which 1523 revenue teams had approached farmers directly to verify their land records once and for all. The important features and highlights of this Pattadar Passbook drive were as follows:- This initiative helps in ending all land disputes of the farmers. Telangana govt. had completed the entire process in just 100 days on a fast tack basis. This entire passbook preparation process was carried out in 3 stages and every information was made available in respective Gram Panchayats (GPs). The state govt. had contacted each and every farmer to verify their rightful ownership. The state govt. has examined all the objections and made the necessary modifications. Now all the records are saved in the digital format at Dharani Website. These records will now get treated as single evidence in all land record matters. Assistance amount under Telangana Rythu Bandhu Scheme and new Pattadar Passbook initiative will redefine the future of agriculture in the state as well as across the entire country.
