Trigger Warning: Mentions of sexual violence
Two distressing videos showing a minor girl in a hospital bed are being widely shared on social media. In one clip, the girl appears to be in a delirious state and says, "They will all get caught. The cops and the perpetrators will all be caught after I die." When asked what the police did, she responds, "They don't want the girl to live..." In the second clip, the girl is seen crying in her hospital bed while two individuals attempt to comfort her.
It is being claimed that the clips relate to an alleged gangrape that happened in Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan. 14 individuals have been arrested so far, and three hotels have been bulldozed by Rajasthan police after a 13-year-old girl was found captive in one of these establishments. According to news reports, nearly 30 men allegedly raped the minor for five days. The survivor alleged that an e-rickshaw driver had sold her to the hotel operators, who forcefully made her consume alcohol and subjected her to brutal sexual exploitation.
Media outlet Mojo Story shared the aforementioned clips with the survivor's face blurred and posted the above-mentioned details of the case in the caption. The clip carried the text: "Horror in Rajasthan" embedded on it. (Archive)

Several other users posted the clips, claiming that they featured the survivor from the Sri Ganganagar case.

Fact Check
To verify whether these videos are indeed related to the Sri Ganganagar case, we scanned Rajasthan Police's official social media handles.
On their X handle, we found a post which contained the clip of the girl speaking from her hospital bed. It has the title: "Fake News Alert". The post says: "It is being claimed that this video is linked to the Sri Ganganagar case from Rajasthan; however, this is completely false; it is unrelated to this case. The clip is originally related to a case that happened in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh." The post also carries a clip from a press conference by UP police regarding this case.
A report on the Hardoi incident by Dainik Bhaskar from June 30 mentions that a girl from a Dalit community was allegedly gangraped. Her family was allegedly subjected to intimidation from police when they had gone to seek justice. Member of Parliament Chandra Shekhar Aazad also posted about the Hardoi incident on June 29 with a video of the survivor recounting the incident.
We found a statement by deputy superintendent of police Ram Surat Sonker shared on X by Hardoi Police on June 30. In the statement, the DSP mentioned that the incident took place on June 23, 2026, when a 13-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped by three individuals. An FIR under Sections 87 (Kidnapping, abducting or inducing a woman to compel her marriage, etc.) and 137(2) (kidnapping any person from India or from lawful guardianship) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita had been registered in this connection.
We also found several social media users sharing the clip of the girl's statement from her hospital bed in connection with the Hardoi incident. Replying to one such post, Hardoi Police acknowledged that the clip featured the Hardoi victim.

Therefore, from the above findings, it is clear that these two clips are unrelated to the Sri Ganganagar case. They show the victim of the alleged gangrape case in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh.
